What to expect once you arrive.

The following are approximate times only. They vary depending on how soon people get there, how long they take, etc.

CHECK IN IS NOW AT THE FIELDS.
NO MORE YELLOW BUSES!
NEW DIRECTIONS ARE:

FROM NY, NORTHERN NEW JERSEY, AND NEW ENGLAND: Take I-80 from George Washington Bridge through Delaware Water Gap. Take PA Exit #284 (Blakeslee). Travel south on 115 for approximately 2 miles until you reach 903 South. Turn right onto 903 south and travel approximately 4 miles until you reach the intersection of Route 534  (**You will see an Exxon Gas Station on your left). Make a left at the gas station onto route 534 East. Travel 534 East for approximately 2.7 miles until you reach North Meckesville Road. Turn left onto North Meckesville Road and this will bring you to our parking area.

Skirmish is located approximately 2-2.5 hours from NYC. These times are not inclusive of picking other people up, traffic, breakfast breaks, bathroom breaks, gas breaks, etc. Please be considerate of the other people in the group and don't make us wait for you! To be fair to everyone, if you have not arrived by the time everyone else is ready, I will take a vote as to whether the group should proceed without you or not. Make sure you get directions from their website and not Mapquest.

If you arrive early, I would recommend you:
1) Go to the bathroom. (The Porto Potties here don't smell as bad as the ones at the fields)
2) Rent Camo jumpsuits. ($7 plus ID deposit, one ID is good for up to 6 camos, rented at the window labelled "Camo Rental")
3) Rent pellet packs ($2) and buy paintballs. (Pellet packs will be used to hold your extra ammunition on the fields)

I can check our group in only after everyone is present. Once I check in, I will be given a number of waivers and assigned a table number. I will then hand one waiver to each person that has paid and tell you which table we will meet our referee. Do not lose your waiver! They cannot be replaced and you must hand these in when you enter the fields.

We will then proceed to the assigned table and meet our ref. Here we will be split into two teams and marked by tape around your upper arm. The ref will go over some information and once everyone is ready, we will enter the fields.

Once we arrive at the fields, you will be directed to a line to pick up your rental equipment.

Marker:

The marker will also come with a hopper and a tank which are not shown.

You will then be directed to a shack to fill up your air tank and then to another table where our group will meet. Here, the referee will go over how to operate your marker. Once he is done, you may choose to go to the firing range to test your marker and to make sure it is working properly. You should also take this opportunity to lock up anything you do not want to bring with you onto the fields, (case of paint, lunch, extra gear, etc.) They have plenty of lockers free for use but you must supply your own lock. They are fairly big lockers and can usually be shared by 2-4 people. We will then have our group photo taken, which can be purchased at the end of the day for $5 in the same place as the "Camo Rental". There is also a pro-shop here in case you forgot anything.

Now we are finally ready to play! When you have all your equipment, you should look like this:
