Clothing
Clothing serves multiple purposes for paintball.
1) Warmth,
2) Protection from paintballs,
3) Blending into the environment.
We will be spending the entire time outdoors exposed to the elements so check the weather and dress appropriately. You may want to wear layers so that if you get hot after running around, you can remove something. Dark, neutral colors will also avoid attracting attention in the woods. Bright colors = easy targets.
Here are some suggestions for clothing:
Hat
Long-sleeve Tee
Sweatshirt
Sweatpants
Gloves (not too thick that it prevents you from firing)
Neck gaiter
Knee and elbow pads (if you're the type who likes crawling)
Boots or anything with ankle support
You can wear anything you like or that you will be most comfortable in. Just keep in mind that you will be walking around in the woods all day, which means there are some ponds, streams, patches of mud, etc.
Bring a large plastic bag to put your dirty clothes and shoes in at the end of the day and your driver will definitely thank you for that. You may also want to bring a change of clothes, just so you're not naked for the ride home.
Misc
Skirmish has lockers free of charge, but you need to bring your own lock (Finally! I can use my old high school combination lock! Now if only I could remember the combo........) These lockers are very big and can usually be shared by at least 2 people.
Rags to clean off your mask on the field.
Skirmish has a snack bar at the fields and they sell drinks, candy bars, hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken. These foods are grilled but they are not handled with the utmost regard for food safety, so if this is important to you, I suggest you bring your own lunch. Nothing worse than having to go to the bathroom all of a sudden, especially with their "facilities" at the fields.
